Right before the month of October, a month that will be dominated by Halloween movies and goodies for The Cut Up, I have another movie that will probably scare kids just as much as anything else on All Hallows Eve; Watership Down. A strange British, cartoon movie with talking rabbits that go through a lot of realistic threats to try and survive. This is also the first in a new series of cut up’s to come where you actually get to see yours truly, The Cutter!

I can’t believe it! We finally get to see what the Cutter looks like!!!

On a more serious note, this is an interesting movie. It reminds me of the Secret of Nihm a little in that Nihm alwasy seemed like an overly serious and dark movie to me even when I was growing up.

To be honest the movie doesn’t look that appealing to me, but that might just be because I didn’t grow up with it

This really was an interesting movie. I liked it, but I’m not sure if I ever really want to watch it again and it’s hard to really suggest it to anyone unless you just like watching unique cinema! I have Secret of Nihm on my Netflix queue, so I’ll have to check it out soon to compare the 2.

I actually read the book and watched the movie as part of my Grade 10 English class. Adams definitely seemed to specialize in the limited “depressing books about adorable animals” genre, since his follow-up THE PLAGUE DOGS (which was also turned into an animated film) manages to be even more dark and disturbing than this one is.

Nice to finally see you, but I should warn you that I’m 100% positive that my insistence that people saw my face was the reason my vlog reviews received such a pitiful response (well, that and their general overall suckitude). As is the case with all things, folks only care what online video horror movie reviewers look like when they coincidentally happen to be attractive young women. It’s weird how it works out that way, huh?

A friend I work with actually told me about Watership Down and then proceded to send me a clip on youtube from Plague Dogs. Watching that scene alone, I’m sure it’s that much more disturbing!

Everyone likes young attractive women, I’m not too surprised by that. =)
