Kid Icarus Uprising is coming out this week on the 3DS! Woo! Actually I’m not all that excited for it because of the anime look they decided to give it but hey, it’s the first game for the series in over 20 years! So yay!
I decided it was time Pit has his day so I’m going to show off the only other two games in the series, Kid Icarus on the NES and Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters on the Gameboy. Were these games always this difficult!?
Take a trip with us, a trip down memory lane of the year 2011! 2011 was kind of a crappy year for horror and we’re going to go over every inch of it and try to find out why. What have we dubbed the best and worst horror movies of 2011? Listen to find out!

Christmas is right around the corner so Grey and The Cutter are getting in the spirit by watching Rare Exports, a foreign horror film from Finland that bases it’s whole premise on a very scary santa claus, indeed. A lot of people believe Rare Exports to be the new christmas, horror classic but do Grey and The Cutter believe?
The Dark Cut is a joint, spin off podcast that combines the power of The Cutter from The Cut Up and Grey from The dARk HOurs into one fulfilling show!
This year, the annual cut up Halloween special is experiencing a bit of a throwback. This Halloween, I decided to show you ten different spooky stooge episodes; It’s The Cut Up’s Three Stooges Spook-A-Thon! Join The Cutter for a 20 minute long foray into stooge land where you’ll laugh, get the creeps and even learn about a very funny comedy trio from the hay day of cinema. Happy Halloween!
It is time to celebrate our favorite holiday! To honor the festival of the dead, we take a look at Halloween episodes of Goosebumps from R.L. Stine and company.
Then we take a trip to the cinema to examine the latest installment of Paranormal Activity! Will the 3rd time be the charm? I think we might be getting another one of these soon …
Then Evil Dead: The Musical visits Detroit and Grey and company are on the scene to give you an in-depth report. Make sure you check out this show if it swings by your town!
Finally its a comprehensive retrospective on America’s favorite creepy family, The Addams Family. From cartoons to live action shows to the silver screen, The Addams Family is apart of pop culture and now we are going to give them their due!
Attention: I have activated the old feed on itunes so that you can download older episodes of the podcast that haven’t been added to the new feed. Get them while you can!

Here it is, the last Spooky Gamecut for October 2011, Costume Quest. Halloween has almost come and gone but that’s okay because with a game like Costume Quest, you can relive Halloween every day of the year if you want; and have a great time doing it! Costume Quest is a fun little rpg style game where you face off against goblins who are stealing all of the candy in the neighborhood. They then mistakenly steal your sibling, thinking they’re a piece of candy too, and this sends you on the Halloween adventure of a lifetime! Easily one of my favorite games from last year!
Here’s your invitation, to the Monster Party! Today we’re taking a look at Monster Party for the NES from 1989. This time I have my good buddy Grey from The Dark Hours Podcast joining me for the show!
This is a very strange game and I’m not even sure where to begin describing it. You play as Mark, who meets a gargoyle named Bert. The two fuse together and once in a while you can play as Bert instead of Mark. The old switch-a-roo! That’s about all I know about it, besides the fact that it’s also a pretty tough game. Hey, I can cry if I want to, it’s my Monster Party!
Would you kill me if I asked you…”Would you like to play a game?” Well now you can play a game, within a game! And here, you can watch me play a game within a game in the new Spooky Gamecut for Saw! Is Jigsaws foray into Gaming as personally gratifying as trapping some in sequential person in a bear trap? Probably not, but it’s got to be pretty entertaining nonetheless.
Now that we’ve seen a little Dead Space, what about the sequel that came out earlier this year? Issac is back, with more responsive controls and a voice! No longer is the space miner, turned alien destroyer, a silent protagonist.
This first twenty minutes of the game is some of the best horror I’ve ever seen demonstrated in a game. I’m almost tempted to tell you to skip watching this and just go find a copy of the game and play it now, but then who would watch this?!
We take a break from the retro games and jump into the 2008 released scary game called Dead Space. Most current generation savy gamers are aware of Dead Space, considering it was a huge hit! Advertised as a grindhouse game in space, the franchise was expected to be big on not only the game side of things but also with comics, books and even some animated movies. I haven’t checked out the other pieces of media but the game sure is scary!
You play as space miner, Issac Clarke who is on his way to check out a space station that his vessel recently lost contact with. When they show up, they find nothing but strange humanoid creatures that want to attack anything they come into contact with. Can Issac get through these tight corridors and murderous creatures and set things right?
